Agility & Flyball

English Springer Spaniel in Agility

Fun-loving and physically adept spaniels usually enjoy and excel at active "dog games" like Agility and Flyball. In Agility competition dogs are timed as they negotiate an obstacle course of jumps, dogwalks, tunnels, teeter-totters and more. Flyball is a relay race, with teams of 4 dogs jumping a series of low hurdles, catching a spring-loaded ball they release from a box, and retrieving it back over the jumps. MRSSA has had agility and flyball programs at meetings, and some members compete with their spaniels in these events.
