This is just a list of the usual events held in certain months. Guests are welcome at our events and meetings, and we especially invite spaniel owners (and prospective spaniel owners) who are interested in participating with their dogs. Please come and see how our club members enjoy many different activities with spaniels!
JANUARY - ANNUAL MEETING at the Puyallup Valley dog show at the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup, will meet in the Pavilion.
FEBRUARY - MEETING at the Seattle Kennel Club dog show at Stadium Exhibition Center in Seattle, in the MRSSA educational booth.
MARCH - All-Breed Obedience and Conformation Show-n-Go and MEETING at Paws-Abilities Training Facility in Tukwila, will meet after the match concludes.
APRIL - Field and Tracking Training Day and MEETING at a WDFW Area (usually Scatter Creek near Rochester or Cherry Valley near Duvall). Tracking starts about 9AM, field work about 10AM, meeting at lunch break.
MAY - Field and Tracking Training Day and MEETING at a WDFW Area (usually Scatter Creek near Rochester or Cherry Valley near Duvall). Tracking training starts about 9AM, field work about 10AM, meeting at lunch break.
JUNE - our ''ANNIVERSARY MEETING'' and supported entry 'Spaniel
Specialty' at the Puyallup Valley dog show at the Puyallup Fairgrounds, meeting
at noon in the Pavilion. MRSSA offers prizes for Best of Breed and High Scoring
Obedience sporting spaniels.
JUNE - Field and Tracking Training Day at
a WDFW Area (Scatter Creek or Cherry Valley). Tracking starts about 9AM, field
work about 10AM.
JULY - Field and Tracking Training Day and MEETING at WDFW Area (Scatter Creek or Cherry Valley). Tracking starts about 9AM, field work about 10AM, meeting at lunch break.
AUGUST - Field and Tracking Training Day and MEETING at WDFW Area (Scatter Creek or Cherry Valley). Tracking starts about 9AM, field work about 10AM, meeting at lunch break.
SEPTEMBER – Labor Day Weekend, Friday to Monday – 4 AKC HUNT TESTS at Scatter Creek Wildlife Area (near Rochester). MRSSA and 3 other spaniel clubs are hosting the annual Labor Day HT cluster which draws a good entry with a variety of flushing spaniel breeds from WA, OR, CA and B.C., and often from further away.
OCTOBER or NOVEMBER - AKC Canine Good Citizen Test, and Spaniel Olympics Games, details TBA. The CGC test will be open to all breeds and mixed breeds.
DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS PARTY and ANNUAL AWARDS - details TBA.
