English Cocker Spaniel
|
|
Cockers and Springers used to come from the same spaniel litters in the 1800's, size being the dividing line. The English Cocker is actually the original cocking spaniel breed, from which American Cockers were developed in the U.S. English Cockers were recognized by AKC as a separate breed in 1946. English Cockers are 15-17 inches tall, weigh 26-34 lbs., and come in a wide variety of spaniel colors and markings.
